Skai Jackson has reportedly filed a restraining order against the father of her three-month-old son, Kasai.
According to TMZ, Jackson, 23, has alleged that her ex, Deondre Burgin, assaulted her on Mother’s Day while she was holding their child. Per court documents, the actress accused Burgin of slamming her head against a car window and punching her in the face.
Jackson also claimed that Burgin frequently assaulted her, particularly during a six-month period in 2024, choking and scratching her and slamming her head against a wall. The actress alleges that her property was also destroyed during the ordeals, like a television and iPhone.
Burgin is alleged to have demanded that Jackson drink bleach while pregnant to miscarry, as well as holding her knifepoint and choking her after forcibly entering a bathroom that she was in.
Burgin was arrested in Kentucky last month on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Ohio, according to TMZ. At the time of his son’s birth in January, Burgin was serving a 90-day jail sentence for parole violation.
In addition to asking that Burgin attend a domestic violence treatment program, Jackson is asking a judge to keep her child’s father 100 yards away from her, their son and her dog. Jackson also wants to enforce child support and for Burgin to cover her legal fees.
The exes were allegedly in a domestic battery altercation at Universal Studios Hollywood last August. Charges were dropped against Jackson for a lack of evidence.
