I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen someone wearing something I love, asked where it’s from, fully expecting a high-end label, only to hear those coveted words: “It’s from Zara.” The same thing happens all the time with J.Crew and H&M, too.

While it’s easy to only focus on shopping designer, moments like this always remind me not to overlook these more affordable brands. As someone who shops for a living, I know firsthand that these retailers are full of hidden gems that look way more expensive than they are.
